Recently ERA's Jabiru Airport hosted a visit from the Royal Flying Doctor Service PC12 aircraft and crew to conduct training and participate in activities in the local communities that surround our Ranger operations.

Jabiru Airport is located within the Ranger Project Area and caters for a variety of light aircraft including commercial tourist flights over Kakadu, transfers to remote regional Northern Territory communities, aerial scientific research as well as fly in/fly out services for Ranger Mine from Darwin.

Jabiru Airport also enables critical access for West Arnhem Region remote communities to medical services and emergency response provided by the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Careflight Helicopter.

Every day, the Royal Flying Doctor Service provides assistance to around 100 patients in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Their support can include aeromedical evacuation, access to a GP or Community Health Nurse, child immunisations, a telehealth call, mental health or oral health support. 

ERA is proud to support the Royal Flying Doctor so that it can continue to deliver life-saving services to Jabiru residents, mine staff, Kakadu National Park visitors and remote communities across the West Arnhem Region.
